Hikitalo Ltd - Sauna Terms & Conditions
All persons using the sauna do so at their own risk. By entering the sauna or booking a session, you agree to abide by the following terms.
General Usage

No Alcohol or Nudity: Alcohol consumption and nudity are strictly prohibited in the sauna. Hikitalo Ltd reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone intoxicated or in breach of this policy.

Children:
- Children under the age of 16 are NOT allowed in social sauna sessions.
- Children aged 6-16 may participate in private group bookings, but only when accompanied by a parent or guardian inside the sauna at a 1:1 ratio. The responsible adult must accept full responsibility for the child's safety.

Health and Safety: If you have concerns about using the sauna, please consult a doctor before making a booking.
- You must not use the sauna if you:
- Have high or low blood pressure, any heart or circulatory disorders, epilepsy, or diabetes.
- Are pregnant.
- Are prone to dizziness or fainting.
- Have any fungal infections, open wounds, or skin conditions.
- You must not use the sauna if you:
Sea or Cold Shower as a Cold Plunge
If you choose to use the sea or our cold shower as a cold plunge, you do so at your own risk. Ensure that you are prepared for the cold temperatures and any risks associated with sudden exposure to cold. If entering the sea, ensure that you are a competent swimmer and are aware of the unpredictable sea conditions.
Sauna Etiquette
Sauna etiquette must be followed at all times to ensure a relaxing and respectful environment for all guests:
- Respect for Others: Please be mindful of the volume, tone, and nature of conversations. The sauna is a place for relaxation and recovery, so maintain a peaceful atmosphere
- Cleanliness: Remove shoes, wash feet in the provided bucket, and remove any makeup or skincare products before entering the sauna.
- Towels: Sit on a towel at all times.
- Session Duration: Limit your sauna stay to 5-15 minutes at a time, with a maximum of 20 minutes.
- Sauna Stones: Pour water gently over the stones; use only the designated 'sauna water'. Do not "water dump" onto the sauna stones.
- Stove Safety: Do not touch any part of the stove, cage, or rocks.
- No Glass: Glass containers are not allowed in the sauna. Please use non-glass water bottles and leave them in the changing area.
- Change Within Your Slot: Make sure to finish changing within your allocated time if using the changing room.
- Quiet Zone: While storytelling, chatting, and even light singing are welcome, be considerate of the atmosphere and those around you. Keep the space peaceful for relaxation.
- Photos: If you wish to take photos, ask for permission from others around you, and do so quietly and respectfully.
- Phone Use: Phones are not allowed inside the sauna. Pictures may be taken outside, but please obtain consent beforehand.
- Essential Oils: Only our provided essential oils may be used on the sauna rocks. Misuse of oils may affect the safety of other guests and damage the stove. Please ask for more information.
Hikitalo Ltd is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property.
Health & Safety Restrictions
For your safety and the safety of others, please refrain from using the sauna if any of the following apply:
- You are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- You have been advised by a healthcare professional not to use the sauna.
Liability
All persons use the sauna and surrounding areas at their own risk. Hikitalo Ltd is not liable for any injuries sustained as a result of sauna use, or cold plunges in the sea or cold shower.
Group Bookings
If you are booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to ensure all participants are aware of these terms and adhere to them.
Admission Policy
Hikitalo Ltd reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who poses a risk to their own health or the safety of others. Refunds will not be issued in cases where admission is refused.
